Land 8 founder

We strongly believe that the Landscape should be constructed with a paramount focus on its evolution. Landscapes grow and change. This is why beyond the analysis of the essential component of a site; the outermost care is given to study its users (all of them! from the ants to the ambulance driver) and how they move around on the site. The boundaries and their level of permeability create the link or barrier between the landscape and its environment and should also carefully designed. Finally, all the creation process should happen with the respect of what the ancients call the Génie du Lieu, or the Spirit of the Place.

Let us create your living and evolving landscape with a unique savoir-faire.

Open spaces and recreational

By its very nature, an open space evolves with its users, during the day, the years, even decades. Our open spaces are designed with a dedication to what was called in antiquity the "genus loci", the spirit of the place. We help you design your parks, botanical gardens, recreational parks, visitor's facilities and management plans providing the most enjoyable and durable experience to its visitors.

Masterplanning

In the very early stages of planning, large-scale construction projects need to take into consideration what the future environment of the site will be. Along side urban planners, by the means of a comprehensive site analysis encompassing the nature of the site and its environment, its ecological value, its assets and restrictions, we provide you with design guidelines for your planned development in regards with your needs and expectations.

Urban design and regeneration

Every sustainable community and city is a balanced combination of commercial, residential zones as well as infrastructures and open spaces. Each component needs to integrate the others with a clear treatment of circulations and boundaries. With a multidisciplinary team your city centers, infrastructures, housing developments are designed to create a unique sense of place and a rich living environment for its population.

Housing development

Alongside the quality of its built environment, its landscape is an essential part of a housing development identity. The streetscape, open spaces, planting design need to suit the lifestyle of the future community and add to the value of their property. We design residential developments, villages, and waterfront communities with the respect of long-term environmental and social factors.

BUSINESS PARKS COMMERCIAL

Innovative landscape design has a major role in the site planning of business parks and commercial developments. It helps carrying and conveying a favourable image of the companies on site. Moreover, a solid landscape design process of a business-oriented place enhances the site users' experience and links the site to a positive experience. Alongside your architects, we design your shopping centres, business centres and malls outdoor as well as indoor green spaces.

Green infrastructure

Parks and open spaces have become a crucial part of our cities. With the development of construction techniques, new and yet unexploited areas such as green-roofs and vertical gardens, pocket garden, community gardens are becoming parts of the urban landscape. With consultation of the community, we help you deploy the cities green infrastructure as well as enhancing the built environment.
